Vocation - Sons of Mary

As Marianists, devoted Sons of Mary, we turn to her as the perfect model of obedience. At the heart of obedience is the process of emptying ourselves and surrendering our egos to Jesus.  Obedience calls us to recognize that our lives are ultimately not about ourselves. Obedience invites us to imitate Mary's fiat and to say, "Be it done unto me according to your word." Or as was a favorite saying of Blessed William Joseph Chaminade recalling Mary's words at the wedding feast of Cana, "Do whatever He tells you."
