Marianist Family Day

Yearly the Brothers of the Province of Meribah host a Marianist Family Day at Founder's Hollow in Accord, New York. The day begins on Saturday when high school student volunteers gather to set-up the large outdoor tent for the days festivities.

Sunday offered a cool and refreshing morning for the celebration of the Eucharist. Father Garrett was the main celebrant for the Eucharist. While we started under the tent for prayer, we ventured outside for swimming, boating, water slides, frisbee  and conversation. In the midst of the welcoming environment of Founder's Hollow, a delicious meal was served after many hours of preparation.

Hospitality, friendship, service and the Eucharist were the key elements shared with the Marianist Community.

Pray for the Canonization of Blessed William Joseph Chaminade

"We have been consecrated to the cross through the grace of baptism . . . To bear the cross with Jesus must be for the Christian not merely a duty but an honor and a glory."
